Enjoy grahic design and media arts? Want to practice making display boards while helping out the Animal Sciences community?

The Animal Sciences Department is looking for a student interested in creating the display boards for homecoming this year. On October 16th, alumni of the department will be coming back to their alma mater to see what our department has become over the years. What we choose to visually represent Animal Sciences is of vital importance.

I. Any students looking for internships in tough economic times as these should come see Lauren Berger on September 8th, 6:00PM atCL50, Room 224. Ms. Berger is widely recognized as a top source for information and tips on applying for internships online and making the most out of those internship experiences.

II. Have your students updated their resumes lately? Or even created one? If you answered "no" to either of these questions or think they might need a professional opinion, check out the CCO's famous Resume Blitz! Students bring their best resume down to the CCO (Stew 194) on September 9th , 10th or 13th from 10am to 4pm and no appointment is required. Both CCO staff and employers will be on hand to critique the resumes and give your advisees the competitive edge!

III. Students of all majors should be aware that the Industrial and Computer Roundtables are fast approaching. Even if your students' major does not have the words "Industrial" or "Computer" in it, encourage your students to explore the above links to see which employers are coming and what majors they are looking for.

IV. At the Job Fair Workshop students will receive tips about behavior and preparation to maximize performance at upcoming job fairs and other information-seeking opportunities. This dynamic workshop helps students learn: "the 2 minute sell," the importance of follow-ups, and other helpful hints. Encourage students to join us September 7th at 4:30pm in university hall 101.
