2. ANSC Student Lab Job

I am interested in hiring an undergraduate student to work in the lab 1-15 hours each week, FLEXIBLE!

The work will involve doing basic chores in the lab and help maintain our fish colony.

3. Career Fair Prep

Employer Panel Discussion
We will host a Employer Panel Discussion the night before the Career Fair on October 4th @ 6:00 in the Dean's Auditorium in Pfendler Hall. There will be 10 industry representatives and one COA student (see attachment) providing tips and important information regarding: how to approach them at the Career Fair, resume tips, interviewing, professional dress, networking, what not to do, communicating before, during and after the application/interview process.

Resume Blitz
October 4th in Lilly Lobby from 11:00-3:00 Center for Career Opportunities staff will be critiquing resumes at this location. All students welcome.

5. Precision Laboratories Interviews

Precision Laboratories will be attending the October 5th Agriculture Career Fair and conducting interviews the day after on October 6th for a summer intern position (description attached). If interested in interviewing for this position, please email your resume to Tamari Williams at by 3:00 p.m. on October 4th. Those individuals who apply in advance will receive preferential consideration for an interview.

10. NAPS Call-out

What: Call-Out for NAPS (Nightly Assault Prevention Services)

This new student organization is in need of volunteers and students to fill various officer positions. There is a variety of volunteer opportunities that can fit diverse skills, time availability, and interests. Volunteer opportunities range from volunteering from the comfort of your home to volunteering on-site. Come to the call-out to find out more about the mission of NAPS or to become a founding member!

11. Showmaster Representative

We are looking for individuals in their respective show communities who support and believe in the products they feed. We are also interested in individuals that are active in their area who can spread the word about Showmaster Feeds as well as events taking place in the industry.

What do you get?

As being part of the Showmaster Ambassador Program, you will receive the following:
For each event you help with, you will receive $10 per hour plus $0.40 a mile for mileage. You will be asked to represent Showmaster at events with livestock. This can be a day of the week including Saturday and Sunday and can be more than once a month.

Advance Yourself is a graduate/professional school program designed to showcase a variety of opportunities students may pursue after obtaining an undergraduate degree. We have a variety of institutions participating with programs in all majors.
