Quality and Regulatory Manager Corp. is growing and thriving. We are in need of an extraordinary quality and regulatory individual to support our manufacturing operations at our Terre Haute, IN, plant.

Our ideal candidate has at least 5 years work experience in managing food or feed cGMP and HACCP programs, and in managing regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, and FDA (preferably food/feed rather than pharma). Supervisory experience is a must. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required. Undergraduate science degree in food/animal/agricultural or basic sciences is a must, Master's Degree is preferred.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Manage the site HACCP and CGMP programs, including holding regular meetings and overseeing outside audits.
  2. Manage purchasing relationships with major raw material suppliers, including review and evaluation of supplier quality programs and negotiation of supplier contracts on large volume and/or specialty raw materials.
  3. Manage the QC Lab Technicians.
  4. Manage the site OSHA compliance plan.
  5. Review, modify as needed and manage the site EPA and IDEM compliance plans.
  6. Conduct training for site personnel on HACCP, cGMP, OSHA, EPA programs.
  7. Work with Director, Regulatory Affairs, to manage site FDA compliance programs.
  8. Attend regulatory training programs, as needed.
  9. Conduct other tasks at the request of the Plant Manager and management.

4. Indiana Soybean Alliance Summer Internship

The Indiana Soybean Alliance (ISA) is a farmer-led board that is responsible for investing Indiana's soybean checkoff funds for the state of Indiana. Program areas include biofuels, livestock, new soy uses, societal, supply & infrastructure and aquaculture.

In addition, ISA's membership and policy committee, which is NOT funded with checkoff funds, works with state and federal policymakers to promote policies that benefit Indiana's soybean farmers.

ISA is seeking a qualified candidate to work as a summer intern. This position will be 40 hours per week for up to 15 weeks. For the duration of the Indiana State Fair (August 5-21, 2011), the intern must be available and willing to work weekends and some evenings.

Expected Activities:
This year's State Fair Theme is "Year of Soybeans," with ISA being the presenting sponsor. The summer intern will work one-on-one with ISA's communications team to develop and plan activities for the state fair. The candidate will have the opportunity to be creative, engage with farmers, consumers, media and industry partners. The candidate will also have the opportunity to work on other ISA communications projects.

5. Fort Worth Zoo Conservation Expedition

Travel to the British Virgin Islands to help the Anegada Iguana (Cyclura pinguis)

Dates: July 21-29, 2011
Where: Anegada, British Virgin Islands (BVI)
Cost: $1,280
Group size: Five to seven participants with a project leader and assistant leader

The Fort Worth Zoo is seeking participants to provide support for an Anegada iguana conservation project. All participants will play a direct role in conservation research and gain valuable skills in field methods.

Cost Includes: 1 night on Tortola, BVI; 1 round-trip ferry ticket from Tortola to Anegada; 7 nights on Anegada; meals on Anegada; field supplies; transportation on Anegada; and all routine expenses on Anegada
Cost does NOT include: Airfare to Tortola, BVI, meals on Tortola
