1. Undergraduate Reseach Assistant Positions

Jacqueline Lynch, a MS student in the Purdue Biology Department, is seeking 1-2 responsible, independent students who are interested in animal behavior/sensory ecology research. She needs assistance starting immediately and continuing for the remainder of the semester with the opportuity for the students to continue in the summer if desired. Her project looks at the interaction of the environment and the vocal communication system of the Carolina Chickadee.

Responsibilities:
Collect behavior data and record vocalizations at various locations around the Purdue campus and Lafayette

Qualifications:
Off-campus travel is involved, so a car is required

Benefits:
Can be a volunteer or credit-based research position in which you receive 1-2 credit hours depending on you availability.

1. 2014 SURF Program

The Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURF) program is now accepting applications for the 2014 summer program. As in previous years, professors may either recruit individual students for specific projects or post a research project on the SURF website and select from the pool of applicants. The goal of SURF is to expose top undergraduate students to research with the objective of encouraging them to attend graduate school.

Duration: May 27 - August 8, 2014 (11 Week Program)

2. Ag Ambassador Information Session

The Ag Ambassadors willing be holding an information session for prospective Ag Ambassadors. Ag Ambassadors is a group of undergraduate students in agriculture who serve as official reporesentatives of the College of Agriculture at public functions hosted by the college, administration, and the Agricultural Alumni Assocation. The Ambassadors are our College's leading prospective student recruiters. You do not need to attend the callout to apply. The callout is a question and answer session with current Ag Ambassadors.
