Internships/ Summer Work

1. Horse Farm Summer Assistance

A horse farm with about 30 horses is looking for summer help and/or a permanent placement. Their main crops are hay and soybean/corn, and they do hay to feed the horses. This business needs someone to help in many avenues of this farm. The owner wants to make as much of the land into productive crops as possible and wants to figure out what pieces of land would be best to experiment with for household garden vegetables. She is considering getting a few goats and learning how to make cheese, maybe a few chickens, and even a cow, for milking purposes. She doesn't know everything about any of the above but is willing to learn new things with a student who has the appropriate knowledge.

Location: Northwest Indiana

Responsibilities:

Housing: a private room is offered to stay in, and the owner provides food, laundry, television, cable, etc.
