B.S. Iowa State University, 1967; Ph.D. Cornell University, 1971

I grew up on a livestock/grain farm in Northern Iowa and participated in 4-H and FFA activities. I had experiences with most classes of livestock. I attended Iowa State where I majored in Animal Science, then did my graduate work in nutrition at Cornell University in New York. I joined the Purdue Faculty upon completion of my Ph.D.
