Cover Letter (50) Draft due Jan 25, Feb 8 In Class and on Black Board
A typed cover letter addressed to a company (by name and position). You will need to print off a job description to a specific company FROM CCO OR COA and write the cover letter addressing the specific skills and qualification they are seeking in an employee. The letter should be one page and three to four paragraphs. It should introduce yourself, explain what position you seek, elaborate on your strengths from the resume and the skills you have that relate to the job description, and discuss the details of your availability.

ATTENDANCE AND QUESTIONS (225)
It is the student’s responsibility to sign the class roll at each class meeting. Because there is no way to make up missed classes with industry speakers, attendance is mandatory. Each attendance is worth 15 points. Each class member is expected to ask questions and enter into the discussion. Attendance is required and will be taken every class. Students missing class will receive a grade reduction.
GRADING
All of the assignments are designed to help students prepare and plan for a career in their chosen field.
A five-point penalty per day will be assessed for assignments handed in late.
BONUS POINTS
Bonus points may be obtained throughout the semester and will be announced in class.
