Procedure Should:

• Limit use of water

• Allow milker to target teat with predip/wash

• Sanitize/kill bacteria, but not contaminate milk

• Provide enough time for teat disinfection

• Allow sufficient milk letdown stimulation

• Remove organic matter from teat surfaces

• Reduce variations in milking routines

• Not slow down milking
