"Many of my projects revolved around promoting hunger initiatives and awareness. How cool is that?"

While working at Elanco, I had the opportunity to write and create global and local e-newsletters, track events and social media, write blogs and press releases, create fact sheets, research world hunger and promote hunger awareness, write brochure copy, and write research outlines. Most of my work revolved around Elanco's hunger initiative.

One of the most important things I've learned is the role that technology plays in food production, and the importance it has in feeding the world.

Working at Elanco corporate affairs was a wonderful opportunity that has developed my understanding of professional communication, as well as the food/animal production industry. Many of my projects revolved around promoting hunger initiatives and awareness. How cool is that?! All I could think was, "I can't believe I'm getting paid to do all these awesome things." It's great to be part of a company that has a grasp on social responsibility, and works hard to integrate the spirit of volunteerism into its culture.

Someone mentioned my name, and I received and e-mail asking if I was interested in the opportunity. After that I had a phone interview, and then an in-office interview, where I took a writing test. I read up on Elanco and their world hunger initiative, which was very helpful during the interview.

I believe you can apply online, however I didn't fill out an application. If you're really interested, I suggest giving Elanco a call and asking if there are any opportunities available. It's more personal when you call rather than e-mail.
