Less Movement (Double-stocking System)
Double stocking is a technique where WF buildings are stocked to twice their normal capacity. This is done to better utilize excess space when pigs are first weaned.
If double stocking occurs in a WF site, 1/2 of pigs are moved twice:
- 1) Farrowing to WF site
- 2)1/2 of WF pigs to another finisher
