Purdue University 1997 Swine Day Report

Purdue Pork Page Announced

Purdue Pork Page Logo

The Purdue Pork Page has been launched as the interdepartmental common access point to all Purdue swine-related information on the internet. The address is:

http://anr.ces.purdue.edu/porkpage.htm

The Purdue Pork Page is the brainchild of Don Jones (ABE) and was created with the combined efforts of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Animal Sciences, Veterinary Clinical Sciences, Agricultural Economics, and Agricultural Communications. The debut for the page was June 11 at the World Pork Expo in Indianapolis, where it was displayed before thousands involved in the swine industry.

The Pork Page includes general pages of pork-related information, and also information grouped by subject area: animal well-being, breeding and genetics, economics and marketing, environment, growth, health, housing, management, manure management, nutrition, pork quality, public relations, and reproduction. The page contains scientific articles, graphic arts, and other information from Purdue pertaining to swine.

We invite all WWW users to make use of the new Pork Page.
